New Delhi (NDLS) railway station lounges — which credit card gets you in

New Delhi Railway Station runs 2 lounges we can put a source under. 1 of the 107 cards we track open at least one of those doors — 1 of them only if you clear a spend or tier gate. 1 of the 2 room here takes no card we track. Below: every door with its terminal, hours, stay cap, guest fee and the exact cards that walk in. No "check with your bank".

Which card gets you in

Lounge access is not one thing — it is 1 different machine at this railway station, and your card is on some of them and not others. Each block below is one machine: the doors it opens here, and every tracked card that carries it. A card in more than one block gets in more than one way.

No door here runs an access network we track, and no issuer names a card on its own list. That makes New Delhi a walk-in-or-nothing railway station — the prices, where published, are below.

Direct issuer tie-up

1 of 2 doors · 1 card named

The lounge admits the card itself, on the issuer’s own list. No network in between — shortest list, most reliable swipe. No card "carries" this the way it carries Priority Pass — the issuer publishes a list and the door reads the card, so we only claim it where an issuer names a card we track.

° The access is spend- or tier-gated: hover the card, or open its page for the exact trigger. A gate you miss is a door that does not open, whatever the brochure said.

Temporarily CLOSED for maintenance from 20 Jan 2026 'till further order' per IRCTC — notice still up on IRCTC's own FAQ page and absent from both ICICI's May-2026 and RBL's Jan-2026 lists (re-verified 22 Jul 2026); India's flagship railway lounge is currently a locked door.

BOBCARD's live IRCTC programme list still names this door (P16, 6-station list — stale but official; ICICI's May-2026 railway PDF dropped NDLS), and the 2023 CardExpert review documents complimentary card entry — the earlier 'paid-only, dropped from every bank's list' framing was wrong. The maintenance-era closure warning stands — verify it's open before relying on it.

If no card of yours opens a door

2 doors here publish a walk-in price. Pay it and you are in, card or no card — the prices are the operators' own published rates, and desks quote higher at peak. Everything else at NDLS is cards-and-invites only.

Worth doing the arithmetic before you swipe: a ₹3,000 walk-in is a bad trade against a card whose whole annual fee buys a season of visits — that comparison is exactly what the lounge-card ranking computes.

This is one railway station out of 119 with a page of its own — the full map, every airport and every railway lounge we hold, is on the lounge map.
