What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Union Bank of India publishes terms we can cite.

Visa — Visa Business Platinum tier

Why #535 A business card carried, not ranked. What it is: Union Bank's corporate expense card, the only product on its shelf that costs more to keep than to take out, the only one that cannot withdraw cash at all, and the only one Union explicitly strips of the accidental- death cover every other Visa in the range carries.

The take

Union Bank's corporate card is the odd product on its shelf, and every way it is odd costs the holder something. It is the only Union card that charges more to keep than to take out — ₹1,500 admission, then ₹2,000 a year — and the only one excluded from the spend-based annual-fee waiver Union publishes for eleven other variants, from ₹30,000 on the Visa Gold to ₹8,00,000 on NEXTERIA. There is no waiver bar to clear here because Union has not written one. Two other exclusions matter more than the fee. Cash withdrawals are not allowed at all — Union's cash-limit table gives every consumer card a percentage of its limit, from 20% on the Gold to 40% on RuPay Select, and puts this card in the row that reads "Cash withdrawals not Allowed". And the accidental-death cover Union attaches to every other Visa in the range — ₹5,00,000 on Gold, ₹10,00,000 on Platinum, ₹30,00,000 on Signature — is printed as "NIL" against VISA Business Platinum, on its own line, in Union's own insurance table. That is not an omission the desk inferred; it is a zero the bank typed. What Union does not publish is the earn. Its reward rates live on product pages, and this card has no page anywhere on the bank's site — not on the credit-card listing, and not in Union's own 2,036-URL sitemap, which this desk read end to end on 23 August 2026 rather than guess. The MITC states a rate for UNICORN and NEXTERIA only, and otherwise names just the two cards that earn nothing, which this is not one of. So it probably earns; nobody has said at what rate. Everything else is the shelf standard: 3% on foreign currency, 20 to 50 interest-free days, bills on the 10th or 25th with 20 days to pay, and no lounge access claimed for any Union card anywhere in the document.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

Union Bank of India publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • The company carries the debt: Union's MITC says "In case of Corporate cards, the company is wholly liable for unpaid outstanding"
  • 3% foreign-currency markup — half a point under India's 3.5% norm, and the same rate Union charges on its consumer cards
  • 20 to 50 interest-free days, with bills on the 10th or 25th of the month and 20 days from billing to pay
  • Card replacement is not priced for this variant in Union's service-charge table, where every consumer card is (₹149 to ₹4,999)

Watch out

  • It costs MORE to keep than to take out — ₹1,500 admission then ₹2,000 a year — and it is the only Union card shaped that way
  • No annual-fee waiver exists. Union publishes a spend bar for eleven variants and this card is not in that table
  • NO ACCIDENTAL-DEATH COVER. Union's insurance table prints "NIL" against VISA Business Platinum on its own line, where the consumer Visa Platinum gets ₹10,00,000 and the Signature ₹30,00,000
  • Cash withdrawals are not allowed at all — Union's cash-limit table puts this card in the "not Allowed" row with PM SVANidhi and the Micro Enterprise card
  • UNION HAS NOT PUBLISHED WHAT THIS CARD EARNS. Its rates live on product pages and this card has none, so the desk carries it without valuing it, ranking it or putting it in the calculator
  • No add-on cards: both add-on columns of the fee grid read NA
  • No temporary credit-limit enhancement is priced for this card, and no lounge access is claimed for any Union card in the MITC

What these points actually fly

Union Bank of India has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Through the company's Union Bank branch — there is no product page and no online funnel. Union's MITC puts the liability on the company outright, so the sanction is a corporate credit decision rather than a personal one. Ask what the card earns before signing: Union prices its reward points on product pages and has not published one for this card.
