What it's worth to you, after the fee

Welcome: Not published — Fi advertises no joining bonus on SimpliFi, which is consistent with a lifetime-free secured card

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Federal Bank publishes terms we can cite.

2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #826

Federal Bank · Not published · entry

Why #826 Fi and Federal Bank's FD-backed first card — no credit score, no income proof, a credit limit you set yourself at 90% of a deposit starting at ₹15,000 — withdrawn along with the rest of the Federal-Fi programme on 20 March 2026. Carried because a secured card's holder still has a deposit to get back.

The take

SimpliFi answered the question every Indian first-time applicant runs into: what do you do when you have no credit score and no salary slip? Fi's answer was to stop asking. The card was secured against a Federal Bank fixed deposit starting at ₹15,000, the credit limit was 90% of whatever you put in, the deposit kept earning interest at Federal's own rate the whole time, and Fi's page said the quiet part out loud — "100% approval, No credit score required, No income proof needed". For someone building a file from zero, that is a better product than most of what banks sell into the same gap, because the money is not a fee: it is a deposit you get back. On top of the mechanics sat a weekend proposition. Spending at the weekend earned at a multiple of the weekday rate, and Fi ran monthly weekend discounts on Zomato, District by Zomato and BookMyShow events. The card was lifetime free in both directions — Fi's own words are "No annual or joining fees" — so the only money at stake was the deposit. It is being switched off. Fi's page carries a service banner reading "Your SimpliFi Federal Fi Credit Card will be discontinued from 20 March 2026", new applications are already closed, and Federal Bank's own co-branded page lists the whole Federal-Fi programme as discontinued. If you hold one, the number that matters is not the reward rate — it is the fixed deposit behind it, and federalficards@federalbank.co.in is the address Federal gives for dues and specifics.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

Federal Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Lifetime free — Fi's own words are 'No annual or joining fees', in both directions
  • Secured against a Federal Bank fixed deposit from ₹15,000, with a credit limit of 90% of the deposit and the deposit still earning interest
  • No credit score and no income proof required, which Fi advertised as 100% approval
  • Weekend spending earned at a multiple of the weekday rate, alongside monthly weekend discounts on Zomato, District and BookMyShow

Watch out

  • Being withdrawn on 20 March 2026 — Fi has stopped taking new applications and Federal Bank lists the whole Federal-Fi programme as discontinued
  • Fi-Points are not yet priced on this desk, so no reward rate is published here — the accrual Fi states is recorded in the sources but not converted into a rate
  • The credit limit is capped at 90% of the fixed deposit, so the card is only as large as the money you are willing to lock up
  • Existing holders should settle dues and reclaim the deposit through federalficards@federalbank.co.in
  • No lounge access and no forex relief were advertised on this rung — those belonged to the AmpliFi above it

What these points actually fly

Federal Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Federal Bank discontinues the Jupiter Edge and Fi co-brand programmes
Federal Bank issued co-branded credit cards with Europa Neomarketing (Federal Edge, sold as Jupiter Edge) and Fi Brand (AmpliFi, SimpliFi, MagniFi). → Both programmes discontinued. Federal's co-branded index carries two support mailboxes for existing holders and nothing else.

Federal Bank's co-branded credit-card index, stamped "Last Updated On : 23 Aug 2026", says it plainly: the programmes run with Europa Neomarketing and Fi Brand "have been discontinued". The three Fi siblings were already carried as closed on this board; the Jupiter Edge was the row nobody flipped, and it sat at `availability: open` until today. Recorded as a launch-class event because what changed is the PROGRAMME, not a price — no fee moved and no rate was cut. The card simply stopped being something a reader could get, which is the one fact a shelf must never be wrong about. Note the disagreement rather than resolving it: jupiter.money still sells the card with a live apply funnel, so a reader can currently apply for a product the issuing bank says is discontinued. The issuer's word governs the shelf; the partner's page is recorded in the card's watchOut. Federal's notice does NOT name the CSB-issued Edge cards, so nothing here reaches them.
