Miles&Go now worth ₹0.80 — a 20.0% haircut
TAP Air Portugal Miles&Go is now valued at ₹0.80 per point, a 20.0% decrease from ₹1.00, after TAP repriced its Star Alliance chart on 4 May 2026 — every India cell up roughly 25% — and then replaced its own-metal table with a set of from-floors on 28 July.
Miles&Go has taken a 20.0% hit, dropping from ₹1.00 to ₹0.80 per point. The cause is TAP’s own chart. For tickets issued after 4 May 2026, the Star Alliance table repriced every cell an Indian traveller can reach: Asia went from 40,000/60,000 to 50,000/70,000, the Gulf was carved out of the Asia zone into a dearer Middle East band at 60,000/80,000, and Europe and North America both moved from 70,000/115,000 to 80,000/125,000. Roughly a quarter more miles for the same seat, across the board.
The 28 July own-metal table reinforced the mark rather than caused it. That document is titled “Award Ticket Values From” and every cabin column is headed from, so its 71 cells are floors TAP may price above rather than prices you can hold it to — a currency whose second chart won’t commit to a number is worth less than one that will.
Our take: burn the balance. Nothing an Indian wallet holds feeds Miles&Go directly — every mile in the account arrived through a hotel hop (Marriott Bonvoy at 3:1, Accor ALL at 2:1, IHG at a punishing 5:1) and started a hard three-year countdown the moment it landed. Miles you already paid a haircut for, on a fuse, buying a chart that just went up 25%, is not a position to add to.
