Narita finally gets airside Priority Pass doors — 4 dining venues, 2 airside

Narita International Airport now has four Priority Pass dining venues, and for the first time two of them sit past security. Each buys a JPY3,400 set menu per visit, including drinks. The hours are not uniform, so read the venue before you route the layover:

• Japanese Grill & Craft Beer Tatsu — Terminal 1, airside, 12:00–18:00. The narrowest window of the four; useless on an early or late connection.
• Teppanyaki Dotonbori KURITA — Terminal 2, airside, 07:30–22:00. The one genuinely useful door: a full day’s coverage on the correct side of immigration.
• Meat Dishes Yakisuki Yanma — Terminal 1, landside, 10:00–19:30.
• BOTEJYU Express — Terminal 3, landside, 05:00–22:00. The first Priority Pass option of any kind in the LCC terminal, and the earliest opening on the list.

This development addresses Narita’s previous limitation of only having landside Priority Pass options, which were also restricted by a 21:00 closure. Our take: Priority Pass at Narita used to be landside only and shut at 21:00, which made it useless to anyone actually catching a flight. Four venues, two airside, at JPY3,400 a head including drinks — that is a real meal on a long layover rather than a technicality. Just note that the airside pair does not cover the clock between them: KURITA in Terminal 2 carries the day, and Tatsu only helps if your Terminal 1 connection lands in the afternoon. Route your Tokyo connection through NRT without wincing now.
