World of Hyatt doubles base points for dining to 10 points per US$1 across India and Southwest Asia from 1 Aug to 30 Sep 2026 — ₹15 per US$1 at our house value, capped at 30,000 points. It matters here because no Indian credit card transfers directly to World of Hyatt.
Hyatt has launched a dining promotion across India and Southwest Asia, where members earn 10 World of Hyatt points per US$1 spent on eligible food and beverage transactions at participating hotels. World of Hyatt’s programme terms put the standard base rate at 5 points per US$1, so this is double. The promotion runs from 1 August to 30 September 2026 and requires a minimum spend of US$10 per transaction. Members can earn up to 30,000 points in total under the campaign — roughly US$3,000 of eligible dining at the promotional rate.
The full 10 points per US$1 are worth ₹15 at our ₹1.50 house value, against roughly ₹95 of spend, so an Indian Hyatt dinner pays about 16% back in points during the window — twice the roughly 8% the base rate returns, before elite bonuses.
Our take: this is a good opportunity for Indian collectors to build a World of Hyatt balance, because there is almost no other way to build one. No Indian credit card transfers directly to the program, and at 3,000 points for a free night, Hyatt points earned at a restaurant are among the cheapest hotel nights on our index.
