HDFC Infinia Metal vs Axis Atlas
Axis Atlas by ₹12,000 a year at ₹75,000 a month
The miles card every forum still asks about against the one HDFC still sells. Atlas pays 2 EDGE Miles per ₹100 and 5 on direct airline, hotel and Travel EDGE bookings up to ₹2L of travel a month, in miles that move 1:2 to KrisFlyer, Aeroplan and Etihad Guest; Regalia Gold pays HDFC points that move to 22 transfer partners at 2:1 or worse. Atlas out-earns Regalia Gold at every spend level the page tests. The catch is the door: Atlas closed to new applicants in Aug 2025, and only Regalia Gold still takes them. ₹5,000 with no spend waiver against ₹2,500 waived at ₹4,00,000; forex is 3.5% against 2%. Atlas opens eight to eighteen domestic lounge visits a year by milestone tier, Regalia Gold three domestic a quarter on ₹60,000 of the previous quarter's spend and six international.
Axis Atlas is the better card at every spend we test, and its lead over HDFC Regalia Gold grows as you spend more: ₹3,000 a year at ₹25,000 a month, ₹1,18,700 at ₹5 lakh. At ₹75,000 a month the gap is mostly what each card earns on your spend: Axis Atlas returns ₹30,200 a year in rewards to HDFC Regalia Gold's ₹19,800, even though Axis Atlas has the higher fee. Pick HDFC Regalia Gold instead if you spend abroad: its forex markup is 2% against 3.5% on Axis Atlas, 1.5 percentage points less on every rupee spent in another currency, or if you would rather pay less to get the card: HDFC Regalia Gold costs ₹2,500/yr, Axis Atlas ₹5,000/yr. One catch: Axis Atlas is closed to new applicants, so if you are applying today, HDFC Regalia Gold is the card you can actually get.

† HDFC Regalia Gold: One catch on that ₹1.00: Regalia Gold can't reach it. Its points cap out at ₹0.65 (Gold Catalogue) or ₹0.50 (flights/hotels) — a 35–50% haircut vs the HDFC house value. Our 1.6% reward rate already prices that in.

We put each card through the same everyday mix of spending, apply that card's own rules for each kind of spend (some earn nothing on fuel or bills), add its milestone and renewal bonuses at our value per point, and take off the fee unless that spend waives it. Bonus categories that need you to shop a certain way are not counted. Your own mix will differ: try your numbers in the calculator, or read how we value cards.
