TMB Titanium Credit Card
KeepFree to take out, ₹250 every year after — the one TMB card whose own fee table contradicts its own headline.

What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Tamilnad Mercantile Bank publishes terms we can cite.

3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #393
Why #393 Carried, not valued. The fee shape is documented to the line — free to take out, ₹250 at renewal — and TMB publishes no reward structure for this card or for any of its other three.
The take
Titanium is TMB's income-tested card, and it is the one where the fine print earns its keep. The page's headline says "Free joining & zero annual fee". The fee table underneath prints four lines: issuance free, joining free, **annual fee free — and a ₹250 + GST renewal fee**. Read together, that is a card which costs nothing to take out and nothing for its first year, then ₹250 at every renewal, with no waiver test published anywhere. Both statements are true; only one of them is the cost of owning the card. The rest is a plain entry card. **₹2,00,000 of gross annual income** is the bar, the limit runs ₹20,000 to ₹5,00,000 and is capped at 25% of that income, add-ons for a spouse and children over 18 are free, the chip is contactless at no charge and the PIN is generated digitally with no mailer. Forty-five days interest-free, three-year validity, up to 3.5% abroad, and cash at 3% then 24% a year from the withdrawal date. One inconsistency is worth carrying into any conversation with the bank: TMB's own overview describes this card as "backed by a customer's Term Deposit", while its features table says "Income-based (Unsecured)". The table is the more specific document and is what this file follows — but if you are choosing between this and the deposit-backed TMB Platinum, ask which one you are actually being sold. And as with every TMB card, there is no reward structure published, so nothing here earns anything back against the ₹250.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

You hold this card.
Kept on this device, in your browser. It is never sent to us, never synced, and nothing else on the site reads it yet.
The downgrade
Tamilnad Mercantile Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Nil to take out — TMB prints Free against issuance, joining and the first year's annual fee
- Free add-on cards for a spouse and for children above 18
- Income-based: ₹2,00,000 of gross annual income, no deposit required by the features table
- Limit ₹20,000 to ₹5,00,000, set at up to 25% of annual income
- Contactless EMV chip at no extra charge and a paperless Green PIN — no PIN mailer is issued
- Hotlisting a lost card is free
Watch out
- ₹250 + GST at every renewal, despite the headline reading "zero annual fee" — the fee table prints both, four lines apart
- No renewal-fee waiver is published at all, unlike Wings and Phoenix which both print one
- TMB publishes NO reward structure for this card — no accrual rate, no redemption value, no lounge
- TMB's overview calls the card term-deposit-backed while its features table says "Income-based (Unsecured)" — the two contradict, and the bank has not reconciled them
- Add-on cards renew at ₹150 + GST each, and a replacement card is ₹250 + GST
- Up to 3.5% foreign-currency markup; cash costs 3% then 24% a year from the withdrawal date
What these points actually fly
Tamilnad Mercantile Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

The features table gives one test and one only: "Any individual with gross annual income of ₹2,00,000 and above, Income-based (Unsecured)." No account vintage, no filed-returns requirement and no CIBIL floor appear — which makes this the least gated of TMB's four, and the only one that does not begin with a TMB account. The overview's contradictory claim that the card is backed by a term deposit is unreconciled; ask the branch which product you are being issued.

The fine print
5 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
THE ROW THAT PAYS FOR READING THE CELL INSTEAD OF THE HEADLINE. The hero says "Free joining & zero annual fee"; the Fees & Charges table then prints four separate lines — "One-time Card Issuance: Free", "Joining / Enrollment Fee: Free", "Annual Fee: Free", "Renewal Fee: ₹250 + GST (Primary Card) / ₹150 + GST (Add-on Card)". Free to take out and free for the first year, ₹250 at every renewal after, which is our published-nil rule's shape stated by the issuer in four consecutive rows. NO RENEWAL-FEE WAIVER is published at all, unlike Wings (₹50,000 in any quarter) and Phoenix (₹1,00,000 in a calendar year), so its absence here is a difference rather than a gap in the read. Card replacement ₹250 + GST; hotlisting free. RuPay TITANIUM tier — the only TMB card not on Platinum. Limit ₹20,000 to ₹5,00,000, restricted to 25% of annual income; validity 3 years; free credit period up to 45 days; contactless EMV chip at no extra charge; GREEN PIN only. UNRECONCILED CONTRADICTION IN TMB'S OWN COPY: the Overview calls this card "backed by a customer's Term Deposit" and says "Limits are based on deposit value", while the features table says "Income-based (Unsecured)" and sets the limit off annual income. The table is the more specific document and is followed; the prose is quoted in the card file's watchOut so the reader meets the contradiction. NO REWARD STRUCTURE AND NO LOUNGE CLAUSE is published.
