IOB RuPay EKAA Super Premium Card

IOB's first super-premium card: a page of hotel memberships, and not a word about the fee.

Our verdict: keep (ranked #231)

Indian Overseas Bank has put a card on RuPay's top EKAA tier and reserved it for its Ultra HNI customers, and the page it published is almost entirely the network's benefit programme.

Our full review 8 good · 6 bad

That programme is real and specific: a twelve-month Club Marriott membership, a twelve-month HoteLux Elite Plus membership, a twelve-month ALL Accor Gold membership with a complimentary night voucher, a third night free on two paid at ITC's premium hotels and at The Postcard Hotel, 1+1 ITC buffets and spa sessions, four complimentary domestic golf rounds or lessons a year, MakeMyTrip flight perks — one zero-cancellation booking, two free seat selections and two free meals a year — 15% off fast-track immigration and visa concierge, ₹50 lakh of personal accident cover and ₹1 crore of air accident cover. What IOB has not published is everything this site ranks on. There is no fee, no reward rate, no currency and no forex markup on the page, in the MITC or in the schedule of charges. The page says "Domestic and International Airport Lounge Access" and stops there — no network, no number of visits. Two of the panels are explicitly limited-time offers outside the card's core value, and two memberships only went live on 15 September 2026, with the MakeMyTrip benefits following on 15 October. If IOB invites you, ask for the fee schedule, the earn rate and the lounge quota in writing before you say yes.

Watch out

  • IOB HAS PUBLISHED NO FEE FOR THIS CARD — not on the product page, not in its MITC, not in its schedule of charges — so it is carried without a price
  • IOB HAS PUBLISHED NO EARN RATE EITHER, so the card is not ranked, not crowned and not in the calculator
  • Lounge access is stated as 'Domestic and International Airport Lounge Access' with no network and no visit count — do not assume it is unlimited
  • For IOB's Ultra HNI customers only — there is no public application route
  • Most benefits are RuPay's EKAA programme, redeemed on RuPay's portal, not IOB's — the Club Marriott and Accor memberships went live on 15 September 2026 and the MakeMyTrip benefits on 15 October
  • The EazyDiner Prime membership and the BookMyShow buy-one-get-one are marked limited-time offers, not part of the card's core value

Rewards

Indian Overseas Bank has not published what this card earns. Not zero: nothing stated either way. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing.

Category rules: not published. We have not found where this card earns less.

Fees & charges

Fee not published — no issuer document states one.

Keep, downgrade or cancel?

There is no renewal arithmetic to run on this card yet — and a break-even we cannot source is not one we will print.

We cannot work out a break-even without both the fee and the earn rate. What we can source is under Sources.

Downgrade: Indian Overseas Bank publishes no card you can step down to, so we name none. That leaves keep or cancel.

Invite-only — there is no public application form. The bank calls you.

By invitation through your IOB relationship. The product page reserves the card "exclusively for Ultra High Net Worth Individual (Ultra HNI) customers of the Bank", IOB publishes no threshold for that tier, and neither of IOB's online credit-card funnels offers it.

Why it ranks #231

Carried and not valued. IOB has published the benefits — hotel memberships, golf, travel services, insurance — and nothing that prices the card or says what it earns, so there is no number to rank it on.
