What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Bank of India publishes terms we can cite.

3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #664
Why #664 Genuinely lifetime free on two independent Bank of India documents, with ₹2 lakh of NPCI cover and a concierge — and no lounge and no priced reward.
The take
Bank of India's plain RuPay Platinum is free to get and free to keep, and two separate BOI documents say so: the product page's charges tab reads "Issuance- NIL / AMC - NIL", and the bank's own Annexure VII schedule prints the same row as FREE for both principal and add-on. For nothing a year you get ₹2 lakh of NPCI personal-accident and permanent-disability cover, a 24-hour concierge, worldwide acceptance and BOI's 3% foreign-currency charge, which is under the 3.5% most Indian issuers take. What you do not get is the thing that makes BOI's other RuPay tiers interesting: no lounge access of any kind is published for this card, domestic or international. And as everywhere on this shelf, the reward line is a bare multiplier with no base and no point value, so there is nothing to price. It is a sensible free second card and nothing more; if you want the airport door, the Bharat Platinum is ₹400 away.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.
Your copy of this card
You hold this card.
Kept on this device, in your browser. It is never sent to us, never synced, and nothing else on the site reads it yet.
The downgrade
Bank of India publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Lifetime free on two independent Bank of India documents — nothing to issue, nothing a year, and add-on cards at ₹200
- ₹2 lakh of personal-accident and permanent-disability cover from NPCI
- 24×7 concierge, and worldwide acceptance
- Bank of India's foreign-currency conversion charge is 3%, under the 3.5% most Indian issuers charge
Watch out
- NO lounge access is published for this tier — the quota belongs to BOI's Bharat Platinum and Select cards, not this one
- No base earn rate and no point value are published, so the reward side cannot be valued, ranked or compared
- BOI publishes no fuel-surcharge waiver; its own schedule charges 1% on fuel transactions
- The bank's live site is behind a bot challenge that blocks automated readers, so these terms were verified against the Internet Archive's copy
What these points actually fly
Bank of India has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

The fine print
5 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
LIFETIME FREE ON TWO DOCUMENTS: the product page's charges tab reads "Issuance- NIL / AMC - NIL (principal)", and row 13 here reads "Issuance & Annual Charges -RuPay Platinum International Credit Card - Principal — FREE", with FREE repeated for the add-on. NO LOUNGE LINE APPEARS ON THE PAGE AT ALL, which is the difference between this tier and BOI's Bharat Platinum and Select tiers, and the reason no cardAccess row exists for it. ₹2 lakh NPCI comprehensive cover; 24×7 concierge. Rows 16a–16c waive the issuance charge on a RuPay Platinum credit card entirely for Jai Jawan defence salary accounts, paramilitary and government-university staff, and BOI Saral Salary and Star Gurukul accounts, at take-home thresholds of ₹10,000 and ₹25,000 a month.
