What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Bank of India publishes terms we can cite.

3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #844
Why #844 Withdrawn by Bank of India's own words — a domestic-only card valid in India and Nepal, free while it lasted, and never given a published reward rate.
The take
Bank of India's India Card is the domestic rung of its Mastercard line and the bank has shut it: the product page's own charges tab says, in place of a fee, "Issuance of Master India Credit Card is discontinued." While it was open it cost nothing — the bank's Annexure VII schedule prints both the issuance charge and the annual maintenance charge as Free, for the principal card and the add-on alike — and its one distinguishing term was geographic: valid only in India and Nepal, which is an unusual pairing and the sort of thing a border-town holder actually used. It also carried the longest interest-free run on BOI's shelf, up to 51 days. There was never a published reward rate, only the same doubling multiplier every Bank of India card advertises without a base. If you still hold one, the free RuPay Platinum International is the like-for-like replacement and works worldwide.

what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

You hold this card.
Kept on this device, in your browser. It is never sent to us, never synced, and nothing else on the site reads it yet.
The downgrade
Bank of India publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Was free on both counts while it lasted — Bank of India's schedule prints the issuance charge and the annual maintenance charge as Free, principal and add-on alike
- Interest-free credit of up to 51 days, the longest run on Bank of India's shelf
- Valid in India and Nepal — an unusual pairing that mattered to border-town holders
Watch out
- Withdrawn — Bank of India's own charges tab reads "Issuance of Master India Credit Card is discontinued", and no application route remains
- It never worked outside India and Nepal, so it was no use to a traveller anywhere else
- No base earn rate and no point value were ever published, so the reward side cannot be valued, ranked or compared
- BOI's free RuPay Platinum International is the like-for-like successor and is accepted worldwide
What these points actually fly
Bank of India has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.
You cannot. Bank of India's own product page replaces this card's fee table with the sentence that its issuance is discontinued. While it was open the bar was the same as the rest of the shelf: individuals, staff and non-staff, private and public limited companies and partnership firms, on a steady income verifiable through income-tax returns.

The fine print
5 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
WITHDRAWN. The product page's charges tab carries no figures at all — in their place it reads, in full: "Issuance of Master India Credit Card is discontinued." That sentence is the whole evidence for the card's closed availability. This schedule still carried it in July 2023, rows 9 and 10, both Free: "Issuance charges for : India Card(Master Credit Card)- Principal/ -Add-on — Free" and "Annual Maintenance Charges on completion of every year for :India Card (Master Credit Card) - Principal/ Add-on — Free" — which is what lets the card carry a SOURCED annualFee 0 despite its page no longer printing a fee table. Two documents describing a wind-down, not a vanishing. Geographic limit: "For Domestic usage and valid only in India and Nepal." Interest-free credit up to 51 days, the longest run on BOI's shelf.
