Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee
At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹100 gross (earn ₹100) against its ₹0 fee = ₹100 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #919
Why #919 A football co-brand where the bank was the league's own title sponsor, with a redemption catalogue nobody else could touch — and the one card on the shelf with a WORSE late fee than its siblings, printed in the bank's own tariff table. Carried for the record.
The take
Barclays sponsored the Premier League from 2004 to 2016, and this is what that looked like as a piece of plastic in India. The proposition was not points, it was access: entry into prize draws for Premier League tickets and merchandise, exclusive newsletters, the league fixture schedule as a downloadable PDF from the bank's own site, and — the one genuinely distinct thing — a separate redemption catalogue that only this card could use. Barclaycard was explicit about it: "only Barclays Premier League Barclaycard customer can redeem gifts from the exclusive Barclays Premier League Redemption Catalogue." Underneath, it was the Gold. Free for life, on the page and in the tariff schedule. Fifty days of interest-free credit. Choice of billing date and a minimum payment you set at 5%, 7% or 10%. BarclaycardPoints on ordinary spend at the shelf rate, into either the general catalogue or the football one. A promotional 0% on balance transfers for three months against a 2% handling fee. And then one thing that is worth flagging, because it is the sort of detail a marketing page never carries and a tariff table always does. Barclaycard's fee schedule charges every other card a flat ₹600 late fee. For this card, and only this card, it charges "4% of total outstanding subject to a minimum of Rs. 400 and a maximum of Rs. 750" — so a football fan running a ₹15,000 balance paid ₹600 like everyone else, and one running more paid up to ₹150 extra. The bank named the card in the exception. On the earn, there is nothing to separate it from the rest of the shelf: two BarclaycardPoints per ₹100, worth ₹0.40 each off Barclays's own redemption table, which is 0.80% — the football catalogue changed what you could buy with them, not what they were worth.

The downgrade
Barclays Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Free for life — no joining fee and no annual fee, stated on the product page and in Barclaycard's own tariff schedule
- Entry into prize draws for Barclays Premier League tickets and merchandise
- An exclusive Barclays Premier League redemption catalogue no other Barclaycard could use
- Premier League newsletters and the season fixture schedule, published on the bank's own site
- Choose your billing week and set your minimum payment at 5%, 7% or 10% of the balance
Watch out
- WITHDRAWN — Barclays wound down its Indian consumer credit-card business and barclaycard.in no longer serves a product page
- A WORSE LATE FEE THAN EVERY OTHER BARCLAYCARD: 4% of the total outstanding, minimum ₹400 and maximum ₹750, where the rest of the shelf paid a flat ₹600 — the tariff table names this card in the exception
- The interest rate was REPRICED on you every six months, anywhere from 2.5% to 3.7% a month, on your usage and credit-bureau record
- The football benefits were draws and newsletters, not tickets — nothing was guaranteed
- No lounge access and no travel benefit of any kind, and 3.5% on foreign currency
- Redemption needed a minimum of 1,250 BarclaycardPoints — ₹500 of value before anything could be claimed at all
- The exclusive football catalogue was a different shelf of gifts, not a better rate: the 0.80% is the general catalogue's ₹0.40 a point, and no football-specific price survives
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes BarclaycardPoints into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

You cannot. Barclays exited Indian consumer credit cards in the early 2010s, and its Premier League title sponsorship itself ended in 2016.
