Vistara signs first-ever airline partnership, with Singapore Airlines
Three weeks after its maiden flight, Vistara announces a reciprocal frequent-flyer deal with Singapore Airlines and SilkAir — Club Vistara and KrisFlyer members can earn and redeem on each other's flights.
Vistara is three weeks old and already has an airline partnership. Announced today: a reciprocal frequent-flyer deal with parent-investor Singapore Airlines and SilkAir. KrisFlyer members can earn and redeem on Vistara; Club Vistara members can do the same on SIA and SilkAir metal.
The rollout is staged — earning starts this March, redemption follows in May — but the direction is what matters. Until today, Club Vistara points earned and burned only on Vistara’s own handful of domestic flights. Now they connect to one of the strongest international programs flying out of India.
No surprise the first partner is the co-parent: Singapore Airlines holds a stake in the Tata joint venture. But a mileage bridge to KrisFlyer this early is a statement of intent.
Our take: Club Vistara just went from a closed domestic sandbox to a program with an international outlet in under a month. That’s the fastest route-to-relevance any new Indian FFP has managed — watch where the points flow from here.
